When does Berry King open for the season?

Berry King opens for Local Pick‑Up Only starting July 20.

Pick‑ups are by appointment, Monday–Friday, 10 AM – 3 PM.

Where are you located?

Berry King (a DBA of Dutch Roots Corporation) 4824 Starcrest Drive, Monroe, NC 28110

All pick‑ups take place at this location.

What plants are available for local pick‑up?

We maintain a curated, real‑time list of blueberries and blackberries available for pick‑up.

How does local pick‑up work?

  1. Browse the Local Pick‑Up Inventory

  2. Call or text to schedule your appointment

  3. We’ll prepare your order ahead of time

  4. Arrive at your scheduled time — we’ll load your plants for you

Pick‑ups are appointment‑only to ensure your plants are fresh and ready. Also, we have another business at the location. But berries are favorites. Don't tell the other products.

Can I walk in without an appointment?

Not at this time. All pick‑ups require an appointment so we can prepare your order and ensure staff availability.

Do you ship plants right now?

Shipping begins in October (nationwide fall planting season).

Until then, all orders are Local Pick‑Up Only.

What size plants will I receive?

All plants for local pick‑up are:

  • Nursery‑grown

  • In 1‑gallon, 3‑gallon or 5/7 gallon containers (depending on availability)

  • Sized appropriately for the season (dormant in winter, leafed out in spring/summer)

What USDA zones do your plants grow in?

Most of our blueberries and blackberries thrive in Zones 5–9, depending on the variety.

How do I pay for local pick‑up orders?

You can pay:

  • Online before your appointment. Can send a link.

  • Or in person at pick‑up. 

Can I reserve plants ahead of time?

Yes — and we recommend it. Inventory moves quickly during peak season.
